The government of Nanning, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, has launched full-scale emergency medical services to safeguard residents' health amid severe flooding in its counties, it announced at a flood rescue news conference Tuesday.

Eleven standardized temporary medical stations have been set up in flood-hit areas including Hengzhou city and Binyang county, staffed by more than 30 professional medical workers.

The on-site facilities deliver 24-hour uninterrupted diagnosis and treatment services for affected residents, covering common flood-related illnesses and minor injuries to meet grassroots medical needs, according to local authorities.

As of the latest update, the city has dispatched more than 60 ambulance runs, providing on-site treatment and transfer services for over 70 injured and ill residents. One critical patient has been safely transported to a designated hospital for intensive care.
