Earthquake strikes China's Yunnan province

A 5.0-magnitude earthquake struck Mojiang Hani autonomous county in Pu'er, Southwest China's Yunnan province, on Tuesday evening, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center.

The epicenter was located at 23.19 degrees north latitude and 101.46 degrees east longitude. The quake struck at a depth of 6 kilometers at 7:43 pm, the center said.

The epicenter was about 36 kilometers from Mojiang's county seat and 65 kilometers from downtown Pu'er. There were no immediate reports of casualties or damage.
