At the closing ceremony, Chinese and international healthcare professionals quoted ancient Chinese thinkers and poetry, delivering the idea that mutual understanding can transcend distance. To thank her Chinese friends for their contributions to the program, Daniela Jardim Pereira, a neuroradiologist from Portugal, quoted Confucius — "Is it not a joy to have friends coming from afar?" Feng Feng, director of the Department of Radiology at PUMCH, responded with a classical Chinese verse: "True friendship knows no distance; even ten thousand miles apart, we remain neighbors."
The training programs have provided a platform for cross-border medical exchange. Upon returning home, participants are expected to share what they have learned in China with their colleagues, apply the experience to their local clinical and management practices, and sustain cross-border academic exchanges, fostering a sustainable global medical collaboration network. These efforts will help advance cooperation under the Health Silk Road initiative and contribute to building a global community of health for all.
