Typhoon Dolphin passes north of Taiwan, injuring 6

TAIPEI - Typhoon Dolphin swept past waters north of Taiwan on Sunday, triggering hundreds of storm-related incidents and leaving six people injured.

As of 2 pm Sunday, 632 incidents had been reported across Taiwan, according to the local disaster response center. The incidents included fallen trees, damage to roads and tunnels, collapsed shipping containers and rockfalls along highways.

The typhoon's outer circulation brought powerful winds and heavy rainfall to several parts of northern Taiwan. The local meteorological agency issued heavy rain and strong wind warnings early Sunday.
