'China Travel' boom continues as international visitor arrivals surpass 68 million

According to the new 2026 Economic Impact Research data from the World Travel & Tourism Council, China welcomed more than 68 million international visitors in 2025, marking a 15.5 percent year-on-year increase.
The "China travel" trend has continued to grow since 2023, as more international tourists and content creators share their experiences in China with the world. Meanwhile, China has expanded visa-free access, offering unilateral visa-free entry to 50 countries and mutual visa exemptions with 29 countries.
