China's public budget revenue rises 5.8% in first 7 months

China's general public budget revenue — the sum of tax revenue and non-tax revenue — rose 5.8 percent year-on-year to about 14.37 trillion yuan ($2.14 trillion) in the first seven months of this year, the Ministry of Finance said on Friday.

Tax revenue, which accounts for the bulk of fiscal revenue, climbed 6.7 percent to 11.84 trillion yuan, while non-tax revenue increased 1.6 percent to 2.53 trillion yuan, according to the ministry.

On the spending side, the country's general public budget expenditure rose 1.3 percent year-on-year to 16.29 trillion yuan during the same period.
