China, US urged to maintain stable economic, trade ties

Foreign Ministry spokesman Guo Jiakun said on Friday that China and the United States should maintain the momentum of stable development in bilateral economic and trade relations.

The two sides should work together to implement the important common understandings reached by the two heads of state and maintain the stable development of China-US economic and trade ties, Guo told a regular news conference.

He made the remarks when asked about media reports that China and the US were expected to make announcements concerning agricultural trade and non-tariff barriers.
