In Xinheng town, the Phase-I site of Yunda Jieyang (East Guangdong) E-commerce Industrial Park, which opened in 2021, spans roughly five city blocks and operates more than 40 franchise stations across Jieyang, Chaozhou, Shantou, and Meizhou, running over 70 long-haul freight routes with 300 vehicles.

"With a daily throughput of more than one million parcels, the park mainly serves the residents in Jieyang, Chaozhou, Shantou, and Meizhou," said He Hao, director of the park's sorting center. The park currently generates up to 1,000 local jobs, he said.

A Phase-II expansion covering roughly four city blocks broke ground in March and is scheduled to open before year-end, adding warehousing, cold-chain and international logistics capacity to the existing operation, He said.
