Now a new middle school student, Chen has joined her school's 3D-printing science and technology club. "I hope to learn more about aerospace, build better rockets and try to win the championship next time," she said.

The championships are the country's highest-level official competitions in the field. They are organized by the Aviation Radio Model Sports Management Center of the General Administration of Sport of China and the Aero Sports Federation of China.
