L'Oréal China hosted a forum in Dunhuang last weekend, presenting a new interpretation of L'Oréal Group's global "Essentiality of Beauty" concept in China. The initiative explores the profound impact of "beauty" on individuals and society through four dimensions -- historical culture, quality of life, socio-economic development, and international exchange -- while inviting more people to participate in creating beauty.

In her opening speech, Lan Zhenzhen, president of public affairs for L'Oréal North Asia and China, explored the rich meaning of beauty. "Beauty is not just a visual experience, but also a form of cultural heritage and social responsibility. Through this project, we hope to inspire more people to pursue and create beauty," she said.

Shi Zhan, scholar and professor at the Shanghai International Studies University's Institute for Global Civilization History, and knowledge blogger Zhao Jian also joined the event to discuss the influence of beauty and its future possibilities.

Through the forum, L'Oréal China hopes to further advance its aesthetic education projects, support the protection and inheritance of cultural heritage, and promote the idea of "Beauty in Diversity, Harmony in Beauty".

The colors of Dunhuang, an integral part of its artistic heritage, face the threat of fading after millennia of exposure to wind and sand. In response, L'Oréal's brand SkinCeuticals, under its "Protecting the Caves, Protecting Beauty", initiative, has donated to the China Dunhuang Grottoes Conservation Research Foundation for six consecutive years to support the conservation of the grottoes.

This year, SkinCeuticals also launched the Grass Grid Sand Control Public Welfare Project, using sand-stabilizing measures to provide long-term ecological protection for the grottoes.
