Coinciding with the closing day of New York Fashion Week, the 2026 America New Silk Road Fashion Show was held on Sunday in New Jersey.

The runway lineup was distinctly multicultural, bringing together professional models and everyday fashion enthusiasts alike — men, women and children among them. The energetic atmosphere drew keen attention from the audience.

The event was co-organized by the J.I.A. International Culture Media Group and the American Dancers Association. Professional models, fashion enthusiasts and children from New York, New Jersey, Boston, Philadelphia, Maryland and other regions took part, with nearly 60 people participating in the day's runway show.

The show brought together three major brands: American homegrown labels Young Gods Clothing and Matilda Collection, as well as TNZI (TNZI Swimwear) from China. Designers representing the brands were on hand for the event. With each label bringing its own design sensibility, the show captured the range of contemporary fashion — from streetwear to ready-to-wear to swimwear.

According to David Cui, the event's executive planner and director, staging the 2026 America New Silk Road Fashion Show on New York Fashion Week's closing day allowed the event to tap into NYFW's international fashion energy, creating a platform for cultural exchange between Chinese and American fashion and fostering collaboration among brands, designers, and models.

Looking ahead, the organizers added that they plan to keep using the "New Silk Road" as a bridge for multicultural integration and exchange across the fashion industry.
