Over 1,000 anglers kick off intl fishing competition in Sichuan

The 15th China Shengzhong Lake International Fishing Competition opened on Monday at the Shengzhong Lake Scenic Area in Nanbu county, Nanchong, Sichuan province, drawing 1,200 competitiors from 22 countries.
The event consists of three competitions — national pond angling, national reservoir angling, and international kayak angling — with a total prize pool of 1 million yuan ($149,000).
