China-Africa fashion show celebrates Mid-Autumn Festival in Kenya

Models from China and Kenya showcased Chinese and African-inspired designs during the China-Africa Cultural Exchange Mid-Autumn Fashion Show held at the Confucius Institute at the University of Nairobi in Nairobi, Kenya, on Wednesday.
The event featured traditional Chinese attire, including qipao and Chinese horse-face skirt, known as mamianqun, as well as African designs featuring distinctive local fabrics and styles, alongside dance performances and interactive activities.
The Mid-Autumn Festival, one of China's traditional festivals, is celebrated on the 15th day of the eighth month of the Chinese lunar calendar and falls on Sept 25 this year. Traditionally a time for family reunions, it is associated with the full moon, symbolizing reunion and togetherness.
