Themed "Bridging the Past and the Future: Safeguarding Cultural Heritage for Our Times", the fourth Liangzhu Forum opened Sunday in Hangzhou, East China's Zhejiang province, to discuss challenges facing the sector, including advances in technologies for protecting and utilizing cultural relics, the loss of cultural heritage and the recovery of cultural relics.
At the main forum, two memorandums of understanding on international cultural heritage protection between four international organizations were signed, marking a step in the evolution of the forum into a broader venue for multilateral dialogue on cultural heritage, and signaling a deepening path for international cooperation.
This year's event includes an opening ceremony and main forum, five sub-forums, and five companion events, such as an international artists' creative tour exhibition, a Liangzhu cultural and creative market, a design exhibition and international dialogues.
