Among the additions at Beijing Capital, Air China plans to launch a service linking Beijing with Reykjavik via Copenhagen on Oct 26, with three flights a week.

Air China, Hainan Airlines, Sichuan Airlines and Shandong Airlines, along with foreign carriers including Philippine Airlines, Air Canada and Korean Air, plan to increase flights at the airport during the new season.

The airport has also prepared for winter operating conditions, including strong winds, low visibility, snow, ice and frost, with plans to adjust staffing and support resources during peak arrival and departure periods.

"We will work with air traffic control, airlines and ground handlers to maintain safe and smooth operations during snow, ice and other adverse weather," He said.

Passengers are advised to check flight details through official airline or airport channels before traveling, as departure times and other arrangements may change with the new schedule. Those departing during the morning peak, from 6 am to 10 am, should allow ample time for check-in and security screening.
