Intellectual property authorities in China and Egypt have agreed to deepen cooperation in copyright protection and administration, while encouraging administrators and practitioners from both countries to step up exchanges through mutual visits and training programs.

The agreement was outlined in a memorandum of understanding signed on Monday in Dunhuang, Gansu province, by China's National Copyright Administration and Egypt's Intellectual Property Office.

The signing marks a further step in copyright cooperation between the two countries and reflects efforts to strengthen copyright ties with Arab countries, according to a statement from China's National Copyright Administration.

Under the memorandum, the two sides will regularly exchange legal and technical information on copyright and related fields, while promoting cooperation between copyright management organizations.
