China to keep anti-dumping duties on US n-propanol

By Zhong Nan | chinadaily.com.cn | Updated: 2026-11-05 19:30

China will extend anti-dumping duties of between 254.4 percent and 267.4 percent on imports of n-propanol from the United States for five more years starting Friday, the Ministry of Commerce announced on Thursday.

The decision follows a review that concluded dumping could persist or recur if the duties were lifted, potentially causing further harm to Chinese producers, the ministry said in an online notice.

China first imposed the duties in November 2020 for five years. The ministry launched a review in November 2025 at the request of domestic producers to determine whether the measures should remain in place.

The chemical, used in food packaging, printing inks and pharmaceuticals, will remain subject to duties of 254.4 percent for Dow Chemical Co and 267.4 percent for OQ Chemicals Corp and other US exporters.
