FAW Bestune starts overseas deliveries of JOYEE N01

FAW Bestune has started overseas deliveries of its JOYEE N01 electric vehicle, handing over the first 500 units to African customers as part of an initial overseas order for 2,000 vehicles.

The first batch was delivered late last month at FAW's Yancheng subsidiary in Jiangsu province, marking the start of the model's global rollout, the automaker said.

The JOYEE N01 is an upgraded model based on the BESTUNE XIAOMA, a small electric car that has attracted nearly 300,000 users since its launch in 2024, according to the company.

The new model retains the XIAOMA's rounded design, with a range of body colors aimed at younger families.

It features four doors to make access to the rear seats easier and is equipped with batteries from CATL across the lineup.

Its driving range exceeds 300 kilometers in the highest-range version, the company said.

In terms of safety, the vehicle features a high-strength steel body, dual airbags and electronic stability control, drawing on FAW's more than 70 years of vehicle manufacturing experience, according to Bestune.

The JOYEE N01 is scheduled to be introduced in overseas markets in stages from the fourth quarter of 2026, it said.
