On March 3, the “Regional Tourism Cooperation Agreement between Dali and Lijiang” was signed to promote deep and comprehensive cooperation between the two sides in the field of tourism.

According to the agreement, the two cities will work together to put in place a joint conference system on regional tourism cooperation. The cities will also establish regional cooperation liaison offices at all levels of their respective tourism bureaus, and invite domestic and international tourism experts to tailor a joint tourism development project.

Both sides will work together to develop a new model for tourism cooperation, and establish a supervision and evaluation mechanism for the development of the tourism industry in the two cities.

They will also set up joint complaints and emergency rescue system to coordinate crack downs on improper management behaviors within the cooperation region.

The tourism associations of the two cities will cooperatively build 5 platforms, namely a publicity platform, marketing platform, tour routes development platform, service platform, and information platform, which will share information on tourism promotion, management and services.

The platforms will also be of benefit in promoting tourism between the two cities, as publicity materials will be displayed regularly in the corresponding city.
