BEIJING -- Chinese stocks opened mixed Monday after the release of economic figures that were in line with expectations.
China's economy expanded 7.6 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of 2012, slowing from 8.1 percent in the first quarter, the National Bureau of Statistics said Friday.
The benchmark Shanghai Composite Index opened at 2,187.89, up 0.09 percent.
The Shenzhen Component Index opened 0.24 percent lower at 9,768.59.
