Hyundai cumulative sales in China top 5m units

Hyundai Motor Co announced a few days ago it has reached a milestone of cumulative sales of 10 million vehicles in China in about 11 years since entering China, now the world's largest auto market.

At the same time, the annual production of Beijing Hyundai Motor, a joint venture between Hyundai and Beijing Automotive Industry Holding, has surpassed 1 million units so far this year.

"Beijing Hyundai Motor became the fourth carmaker in China to surpass one million vehicles in annual production after Shanghai Volkswagen, FAW-Volkswagen and Shanghai General Motors," said Yoo Bok-kyu, a spokesperson at the company.
