Biggest Jade Buddha statue on display in Liaoning

Photo taken on December 19, 2008 shows the Shakyamuni Buddha statue in Anshan city, northeast China's Liaoning province. The statue carved out of a 260-ton jade stone is being displayed here for worshippers from all over the world. It was accredited as the biggest of its kind in the world by the Guinness World Records in December 2002. [Chinadaily.com.cn]
