A female college student had her bag robbed, but everything that was stolen, including graduation certificates and her mobile phone, except cash, were sent back by the thief, Nanfang Daily reported Wednesday.

After the robbery, the woman, surnamed Liu in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province, received messages from her lost cell phone saying that the thief would return the diplomas and the mobile phone.

In addition, the thief asked Liu not to call the police and explained that he did not want to affect Liu's job hunting.

The thief returned the certificates and mobile phone.
