Institutions of higher learning will set up academic integrity records for teachers starting this year, and teachers will be punished for misconduct, Beijing Evening News reported Thursday.
According to the Ministry of Education, academic integrity should be included in annual assessments of teachers, and institutions of higher learning should provide annual academic integrity education for teachers.
In addition, colleges and universities should organize investigations into reports of academic misconduct, and make decisions about penalties. Penalties may include being banned from applying for projects.
