CHANGSHA - The death toll in a road attack in Central China's Hunan province has risen to six after two of 10 injured died at a local hospital on Tuesday.
Four people were killed at the scene after an angry villager attacked several people with a farming vehicle in Yinjiaxi township in the city of Zhangjiajie, at 12:40 pm Monday.
Local authorities have identified the suspect as a villager surnamed Tian. He is said to have gotten into a confrontation with a villager surnamed Huang on Monday.
Tian allegedly ran over Huang with his tractor, as well as 13 other people, on a 2-km stretch of road before being subdued by local citizens and officials.
Huang and three other victims were immediately pronounced dead.
Tian has been taken into police custody and an investigation is under way.
