TAIPEI -- Thirteen people were killed, eight injured and two missing after a tourist bus plunged into a ravine in north Taiwan's Hsinchu County Sunday afternoon, local reports said.
The injured, including one in serious condition, had been taken to a nearby hospital, local TVBS News quoted Hsinchu County Fire Bureau as saying.
With a driver and 22 tourists from the Taishan District of New Taipei City aboard, the coach veered off the road and fell into a ravine in a mountainous area of Jianshih Township.
Local authorities are investigating the cause of the accident.
