Exam hopefuls target Ningbo customs post by 379:1

Customs supervision posts in Ningbo, Zhejiang province, were the most sought after in national civil service exams with a ratio of 379 applications for each post, Qianjiang Evening News reported on Monday.

Sunday was the fifth day of signing up for the 2014 civil service exam and 7,300 people signed up for 226 places in 116 governmental department posts.

The Ningbo customs post was the top attraction. The post, with six vacancies, attracted 2,272 hopefuls.

Some posts were not as popular with 44 posts for Ningbo governmental departments attracting less than 10 people for each vacancy. These posts have a high entry requirement and some involve hard working conditions at the grassroots.
