Wen Jiabao's education-themed scripts published

BEIJING - An omnibus book compiling former Chinese Premier Wen Jiabao's speeches and writings on education hit bookstores nationwide on Thursday.

Jointly published by the People's Publishing House and the People's Education Press, "Wen Jiabao on Education" includes 80 of his talks, speeches, letters and inspection notes on the theme of education, along with photos and prints of documents.

Some of the scripts in the book are being published for the first time, the publishers said.

With 500,000 characters, the book reflected the great care given to education by Wen, his thoughts on the development of education as well as his efforts and exploration in reforming the country's educational sector, the publishers said.
