Body of boy, 5, found in sewage pipe

The body of a boy was found on Tuesday in Liuyang city, Hunan province, after he fell into a sewage pipe two days ago.

Local news portal Rednet.cn reported the 5-year-old boy was found in the early morning in a pipe near a sewage treatment plant of the city after a two-day search.

The boy, from Huanyuan village, played in Liuyang Industrial Park on Sunday and fell into an uncovered sewage pipe.

The report said that workers of a construction company forgot to put the cover back as the construction for the sidewalk was underway in the area.

His body was sent to a funeral home.
