A court in Dongxing, Guangxi Zhuang autonomous region, sentenced on Thursday 11 people for up to four years and eight months in prison for beating police and customs officials and damaging 10 police cars in December 2012, Chinanews.com reported on Thursday.
On Dec 7, 2012, a patrol car with several customs officials collided with a motorcycle. After police arrived, the 11 people attacked the customs officials and the police, and smashed and burned police cars, causing direct economic losses of more than 760,000 yuan ($122,580), according to the court.
