ABIDJAN - Cote d'Ivoire and China have signed an economic cooperation agreement of 8 billion CFA Francs (about $16 million) for the construction of socioeconomic infrastructure in the West African country.
The documents were signed on Wednesday in Abidjan by China's Ambassador to Cote d'Ivoire Zhang Guoqing and Cote d'Ivoire's Foreign Minister Charles Diby Koffi.
Since the beginning of the year, China and Cote d'Ivoire have already signed two cooperation agreements of respectively 42 billion CFA Francs and 8 billion CFA Francs.
In March, Cote d'Ivoire and China celebrated in Abidjan and Beijing the 30th anniversary of their diplomatic relations established on March 2, 1983.
