China Daily Photographers follow officials, delegates and other attendeess at the annual meetings, known as the "two sessions".
The Fifth Session of the 11th National People's Congress and the 11th National Committee of the Chinese People's Political Consultative Conference came to a close earlier this week in Beijing.
Over the course of the meetings, topics from healthcare to the state of the economy were discussed at length. About 3,000 delegates and officials from all over China - including representatives of Hong Kong, Macao, Taiwan and overseas Chinese - attended the annual meetings that shape the future of the country.
The meetings themselves - also known as the "two sessions" - have become more than just a grand briefing for government leaders. Because of growing media coverage, they have also become an opportunity for Chinese citizens to see and hear the country's leaders speak about issues that affect everyday life.
Many moments of the two sessions were captured in video, audio and photographs. Not all the photos could have made their way onto the front page, but here's a look at some more personal and colorful moments during the massive convention.
