BEIJING - An official in South China's Guangdong province is being investigated for taking bribes, according to the Supreme People's Procuratorate.
Yang Yanwen, Party chief of the Huadu District in Guangzhou, has been also placed under coercive measures in accordance with a decision made by Guangzhou's city procuratorate.
According to China's criminal procedure law, coercive measures include summons by force, bail, house arrest, detention and arrest.
