Quest for happiness

Mainland director Lu Chuan, known for his serious war film on the Nanjing Massacre City of Life and Death, produces a romantic comedy for the first time. The film, titled The Old Cinderella, focuses on a divorced woman's pursuit of happiness. Director Wu Bai leads actress Zhang Jingchu and actor Pan Yueming to interpret the story, based on a popular novel online. Zhang, a graduate of the directing department of the Central Academy of Drama, co-produces the film with Lu. Taiwan singer Kenji Wu will make a cameo in the film, which will premiere in December.
