The annual Hong Kong-based Fine Art Asia fair will extend to the booming mainland market with a Beijing edition, Guardian Fine Art Asian, which will run from May 28 to June 1 during the China Beijing International Fair for Trade in Services.
GFAA marks the fair's debut on the mainland and is a collaboration between FAA and Guardian Beijing, an organization affiliated with China Guardian Auctions. It will introduce a lineup of international galleries and art institutions that will bring antiques, jewelry and timepieces, decorative art and Chinese ink paintings, alongside forums, promotions and guided tours.
GFAA will also be a warm-up for the 10th FAA, to run from Oct 4 through 7 at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Center. Last year the fair attracted 32,000 visitors and grossed HK$450 million ($58 million) in total sales.
