In brief: What is CISAC?
Founded in 1926, CISAC is the International Confederation of Societies of Authors and Composers. A non-governmental, not-for-profit organization, it is also the world's leading network of authors societies. The organization unites 227 authors' societies and guilds in 120 countries and represents more than 3 million creators and publishes from all creative genres including music, film, drama, audiovisual, literature, and the graphic and visual arts.
