Four enterprises have cultural industry titles revoked

According to the Ministry of Culture, 4 enterprises have had the title of “National Cultural Industry Demonstration Base” revoked, including Shanghai City Entertainment Group, Tianjin Xiqing Culture Development Co., Ltd, Jieyang Yangmei Gem and Jade Co., Ltd. in Guangdong province, and Hefei Anmei Real Estate Group Co., Ltd in Anhui province.

In 2015, an inspection was carried out by the ministry to check the national cultural industry demonstration parks and bases. 20 parks successfully passed the examination, while these four companies were found to have serious problems. Three of them have stopped operations and the last one has gone into a different industry.

Since 2010, a total of 12 National Cultural Industry Demonstration Bases and 1 National Cultural Industry Demonstration Park have been delisted.

In the future, the Ministry of Culture will further regulate the naming standard of “National Cultural Industry Demonstration Base” and “National Cultural Industry Demonstration Park,” and improve the procedure of delisting, in order to better encourage the development of the cultural industry.
