A Tibetan artist (L) introduces his Thangka artwork to a visitor. The 37-year-old artist is a noted Thangka master in Ngari prefecture located in the Tibet autonomous region. He fell in love with Thangka painting when he was a boy, and later learned sketching and traditional Chinese painting at a professional school. Today he is an art teacher at a vocational school in Ngari. This year, one of his Thangka paintings won first prize at the 5th Xiangxiong Cultural Tourism Festival held in Tibet. [Photo/Xinhua]
