Around 100 pieces from the UK artist Francis Bacon are on display, which were all collected by the artist's friend Barry Joule. The exhibit marks the first large-scale show in China to solely feature the art of Francis Bacon. The exhibition will run through Jan 6, 2014. As one of the most well-known 20th century artists, Francis Bacon's
painting "Three Studies of Lucian Freud" fetched $142.4 million at a Christie's auction in New York on Nov 12 this year, making it the most expensive painting ever sold.
