What are the most powerful colors to portray a person? Chinese photographer Feng Jianguo answers this question with "black-and-white" at his photo exhibition at the Guangdong Museum of Art from March 13 to 25.
The photos zoom in on Tibetans living on the magnificent Qinghai-Tibet Plateau. They were shot by Feng from 2007-10.
Feng is a leader in large black-and-white photography in China. He emphasizes the details of the facial expressions, body movements and attire of Tibetans. The subjects appear simple, honest and pious, and emanate the power of Tibetan Buddhism, the local religion.
