An international academic seminar on the conservation and restoration of ink paintings was held from April 11-12 at the National Art Museum of China in Beijing.
The first of its kind, the seminar drew over 100 senior experts and professionals from prestigious museums in China and Japan.
The event is a side event of an exhibition featuring rare and precious ancient ink paintings donated by Deng Tuo (1912-66), a well-known historian and poet. Deng began collecting art in the 1930s, says museum director Fan Di'an.
