Abstract art

Fans of abstract art are now able to appreciate the recent works of Manuel Felguerez, the pioneer and pillar of abstract art in Mexico and Latin America, at Guangzhou Opera House until Sept 14.

The exhibition is made up of 34 recent pieces of work, which include paintings, sculptures, and graphic works. These works were produced in one of the most renowned engraving workshops in Mexico, which is part of the Museum of Abstract Art of Zacatecas.

The exhibition also features a series of photos that depict part of Felguerez's works displayed in open and public cultural spaces in Mexico City.

The exhibition is a celebration of the 40th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relationship between Mexico and China and aims at bringing Chinese audience closer to the understanding of Mexican culture, especially the fine arts.
