Fliter plays Beethoven

Ingrid Fliter, the silver medalist at the International Frederick Chopin Piano Competition in 2000, will showcase her talent playing the music of another great composer - Beethoven - at her recital in Guangzhou on Sept 17.

Different from most other pianists who choose the passionate and powerful style to play Beethoven's pieces, the Argentine female pianist has found a new path by putting poetic lyricism in her performance.

Fliter was also the winner of 2006 Gilmore Artist Award and became the first woman to win this award. The Gilmore Artist Award is awarded every four years to a concert pianist.
