The China Federation of Literary and Art Circles and the Chinese Dancers Association recently organized a performance focused on "sending happiness to the grassroots" in Henan province's capital Zhengzhou.
The event featured celebrated dancers, comedians and stage performers, who gave shows for local railway workers and college students. Tai Lihua, the deaf dancer who became known nationwide for her The Thousand-handed Bodhisattva performance on 2005 CCTV's Spring Festival Gala, also tutored Zhengzhou Normal University students. "Sending happiness to the grassroots" is a CFLAC brand activity that started in 2007 in which nationalartstroupes stage free performances nationwide.
