Wenjiang holds medical integration promotion activity

Aiming to accelerate the integration of medical science, medical treatment and medicine production, a medical promotion activity is scheduled to be held at the Chengdu University of TCM in the Wenjiang district on April 22.

The activity will invite over 100 guests, including university headmasters, academicians of the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering, biological medicine experts and enterprise representatives, to the Wenjiang campus of the Chengdu University of TCM to demonstrate the district’s leading medical enterprises, scientific achievements and medical industry incubators.

Ding Ning, deputy director of the Wenjiang district government, revealed the launch ceremony for a new emerging industries technology research institute will also be conducted on the day.

The 37-hectare Chengdu Medical City was launched in Yongning town of the Wenjiang district. Local authorities have shared that Wenjiang is aimed at providing world-class medical services and becoming an international hub for the health industry.

Official statistics show that there are currently over 600 medical enterprises located in Chengdu Medical City. In the first quarter this year, Chengdu Medical City received total investments of 3.24 billion yuan ($470 million).
