Jinjiang invests $6.29 million on non-motorized traffic system

The "One Mountain, One Stream" non-motorized traffic system of Jinjiang, Fujian province has recently been put into service, according to the local traffic bureau.

"One Mountain, One Stream" non-motorized traffic system, with about 4.48 kilometers long in Lingyuan Mountain section, is about 29.1 kilometers long. The government has now put 40 million yuan ($6.29 million) on its supporting facilities including the landscape management, sports facilities, and water and power utilities. It has also planned to pay more attention on the landscape protection and road cleaning to keep the section a comfortable environment.

The section road of Lingyuan Mountain now has street lights installed for citizens to exercise in the evening and it also has security patrols to ensure safety.

In addition, Jinjiang is expected to invest 15 million yuan ($2.36 million) in Lingyuan Garden construction for its Lingyuan Station, Lingshui Historic Village and the surrounding landscape constructions. The project has been integrated into the overall plan of Lingyuan Mountain project, which is an important part of the cultural tourism industry zone project of Jinjiang.

With the positive changes of Lingyuan section in the non-motorized traffic system and Lingyuan Garden, the Lingyuan cultural tourism industry will take its outstanding traffic advantages, ecology advantages of Lingyuan Mountain, religious tourism resources of Lingyuan Temple and environmental advantages of Lingshui Historic Village. In future, Lingyuan Street will promote its tourism industry in several directions, for example, meditation in Lingyuan Temple, exercise in Lingyuan Garden and Lingyuan Mountain section of the "One Mountain, One Stream" non-motorized traffic system and in the theme of root-seeking in Lingshui Historic Village.
