Fuzhou-Xiamen High Speed Railway to start construction
The Fuzhou-Xiamen high speed railway, stretching from Fuzhou to Xiamen, will start construction by the end of the year and is expected to finish in 2019.
With a designed speed of 350 kilometers per hour, the railway will cut travel time between Fuzhou and Xiamen to one hour.
It will have nine stops, connecting the cities of Fuzhou, Fuqing, Putian, Quanzhou, Jinjiang, Xiamen and Zhangzhou.
