Due to backward infrastructure, living conditions of local residents are poor, daily water in particular. Local women and children have to manually get water from rivers, while river bank slopes can be as steep as 60°, so they may fall into water accidentally. The water supply station built by CGGC Luachimo Hydropower Project without charge can hold 10m3 water and uninterruptedly pump water from Luachimo River, which can satisfy the daily water demand of 1000 residents nearby, thus greatly improving convenience and safety.
Ever since its formal establishment in September 2014, CGGC Luachimo Hydropower Project has always adhering to the idea of “Rewarding the local society and benefiting the local people”, so while vigorously promoting the construction of engineering projects, it actively fulfilled social responsibility and strived to promote public welfare undertakings, thereby making great contribution to improving the local people's living conditions and building positive CGGC brand image.
On the day of starting water supply, Bibi-the representative from the power plant and local tribal chief-Mr. Rossana fully recognized CGGC's enthusiasm in public welfare and delivered their heartfelt gratitude for its contribution to benefiting the local people.
