Than Shwe visits Yewya Project

On April 21, Than Shwe, chairman of Myanmar Peace and Development Council, accompanied by Soe Win, the Myanmar Prime Minister, government officers from Ministry of Power I, II and Ministry of Industry, visited Myanmar Yewya Project constructed by CGGC. Than Shwe sent a basket of fruits to Project Manager Zhu Dongru.

Yewya Project is the largest hydro power station in Myanmar, called as the “Myanmar Three Gorges Project”, highly appreciated by Myanmar Government.

Than Shwe heared a report by Ministers from Ministry of I and II in site meeting room, watched the site slides, then, inspected the RCC construction at the right bank 139m EL platform. He inquired about the construction and equipments, satisfied with CW2 construction quality and speed.
