On Feb 14, 2010, Rehman Malik, Federal Minister for Interior of Pakistan, inspected the NJ Project undertaken by CGGC, accompanied by Luo Zhaohui, Chinese ambassador in Pakistan, and Raja Muhammad Farooq Haider Khan, Prime Minister of Kashmir.

The competent project official briefed the guests on the site about the current status of the construction and plans for future work, and promised that CGGC people would make painstaking efforts on the project with top-level techniques and strength.

The minister highly praised Chinese Government’s great contribution to the economic development of his country, and said the NJ Project, once finished, would considerably ease the electricity shortage in Pakistan, and would be another milestone of the friendship between the two countries.

At the symposium, the project client, local government and NJ Project exchanged ideas on land requisition, local people’s resettlement, electricity for construction, alkali-aggregate reaction, and security work. As it happened to be Chinese Spring Festival, the minister extended its best regards to all Chinese workers of the project.
